She earned her MD from Rush Medical College, completed an OB/GYN internship at the University of Hawaii, and finished residency at the Rush/Cook County Primary Care Internal Medicine Program (2002). After 21 years at DuPage Medical Group, she transitioned in 2023 to a concierge practice with Affiliated Physicians of Suite 118 to restore time, access, and continuity to primary care. Her care is prevention-forward, relationship-based, and available 24/7 for members, with same/next-day appointments, virtual or in-person visits, and coordination across specialists.

Because these doctors accept fewer patients, you can expect direct telephone access, longer appointments, more personalized care, and shorter (if any) wait times.

Does Dr. Virant take my insurance?

She does not participate in insurance plans. Your membership fee will cover all of your appointments with her for the year, and any other calls, texts, and video exchanges you may have. Membership in a concierge practice is not a substitute for insurance. You will need an insurance plan to cover hospitalizations, medications, imaging studies, laboratory tests (aside from your once per year wellness screening), and all outside specialists.

How do I know if this is a good fit for me?

Let’s meet! If you are new to Dr. Virant, she would like to set up an initial “meet and greet” appointment at no charge. This will be an opportunity to see if you are comfortable with her, and to get a better feel for the value that this service could provide for you. This appointment does not include a medical exam.
